Is the Timmins Youth Singers' Organization on sabbatical?
Yes, we are. Due to changes within the Canadian Secondary School system in Ontario, the viability of a community based Youth Choir in Timmins (population 29,000) has been in jeopardy. We are losing our young adult population after four years of Secondary School Education instead of the traditional five years. These students move on to larger centers to pursue post-secondary school education. Therefore, the loss of that extra year of vocal maturity and experience have resulted in a reduction in the high vocal standards that have been a part of the 25 year legacy of the Timmins Youth Singers.

How expensive are voice lessons should I decide to study with Rosanne Simunovic?
Presently, lesson fees are $18.00 per half hour session, $27.00. for a 45 minute session and $36.00 for a 60 minute session. There are three terms of lessons with approximately 10 lessons per term. The students register and pay their entire fee at the beginning of each Term.

We felt that it was important to celebrate and recognize the enormous achievements that were realized by TYS founder Rosanne Simunovic and the hundreds of singers that were members of the choir over the years.
